Glynis Casson performs this show with well known Irish Harpist Áine ní Dhubhghaill
and it has toured Europe and festivals around Ireland. It presents a programme of early Irish Legends and Folk Tales, excerpts from well known Irish Plays and Poetry illustrated with song and harp. The programme consists of two sections of 50 minutes each. “Voices of Ireland” echoes the myths and legends of Ireland's beginnings, beautiful folk tales such as “The Children of Lir,” “Deirdre of the Sorrows,” “Midir and Etain,” captured in song, poetry and the haunting music of the Irish harp. These ancient themes are transported to more modern times by the voices of Ireland's great poets and playwrights – Yeats, Lady Gregory, O'Casey, Oscar Wilde and McDonagh.
